Pam Charlie Daniel and Alex were very welcoming, hospitable helpful and supportive during our stay. This was especially apparent when one of our party suffered a back injury. During this time, the entire family have shown us an incredible amount of kindness and have taken care of us as if we were their own family. We are truly grateful for their patient support of us. As for our accommodation, the gîte and other on-site facilities surpassed our expectations and were also outstanding value for money. As keen bird-watchers we found the wide variety of bird life and other wildlife amazing. We’ll definitely come back.

We have enjoyed a very relaxing two weeks and don’t want to return home. The gîte has been comfortable and well furnished and the grounds have been beautiful. We have especially enjoyed the lizards and insect life. This area of France is beautiful and we would love to return again and explore further. Our canoe trips down the Dronne were a highlight, watching otters, kingfishers and of course plenty of fish. We recommend the trip from Lisle with 7 weirs to tackle. Great Fun! Thank you Pam Charlie and the boys for making us feel welcome. It has been home from home with none of the usual hassles! (Except for the car! Renault garages are a lot more efficient here)

A wonderful quiet, relaxing and peaceful place to be! With lots of birds and butterflies. Hirondelle was a perfect gîte for the wheelchair, thanks for making the shower so comfortable. The gîte was well equipped  with a good welcome pack and the hosts were friendly. The pool (27C) was lovely. We drove around the area and visited Brantôme, Perigueux, Beynac, La Roque Gagnac, Sarlat and the river Dordogne. We really enjoyed our 2 weeks stay here

 Excellent 2 weeks in sunshine, fully appreciated after cold and heavy clouds in UK all summer. We have had a mixture of relaxing and exploring but we have still a lot of places to visit nearby so we will return. Did a lot of circular walks, routes obtained from walking books bought in Brantôme and tourist offices. Thanks for everything,

Once again we are back for a return visit and there are improvements every year. Charlie and Pam are the most helpful and obliging hosts one could hope to have. We have tested them over many years and they still welcome us! We love the peace and quiet of the beautiful countryside – long may you prosper. Hopefully we will return
